Bio
Violinist Violaine Michel enjoys a multi-faceted career as a performer and educator in Richmond, Virginia.
An accomplished orchestral performer, she has joined major orchestras in Normandy (France), Québec
(Canada), and has established strong connections with orchestras all across Virginia. Her musical drive
and openness to collaborate with fellow colleagues make her a sought-after chamber music partner.
As an educator, Violaine’s pedagogical approach focuses on the growth of her students, as she explores ways to optimize their potential. In her violin studio, her positive attitude has helped maintain and develop her students’ long-term interest. She recognizes the value of hard work and her high expectations are understood by her students, who in return become actively involved in their own progress as learners.
Ever expanding her reach as a teacher, Violaine Michel will start offering music theory classes in the fall of 2021. She is also planning a return to Heartwood Grove - a school dedicated to developing foreign language skills in young students, in the capacity as French instructor.
